Compliance Becomes the Catalyst for Real Estate Tokenization

Plume Network Becomes SEC-Registered Transfer Agent

On October 6, 2025 (U.S. time), Plume Network announced that it is now officially registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a transfer agent—an approval that allows it to handle compliant issuance, record-keeping, and secondary transfers of tokenized securities. For real-estate tokenization platforms, this represents a key regulatory bridge: Plume can now manage cap tables and facilitate compliant trading for tokenized property shares directly under U.S. oversight.

ARK Invest Backs Securitize With $10M Venture Round

Also on October 6, 2025, Cathie Wood’s ARK Venture Fund announced a $10 million investment into Securitize, one of the most established players in regulated asset tokenization. The round reaffirms growing institutional confidence in compliant infrastructure for #RWAs—especially the systems that power issuance, KYC onboarding, and secondary transfers. For property-backed tokens, Securitize’s rails are already serving as the regulatory backbone that bridges traditional capital with onchain ownership.

Opendoor to Accept Bitcoin Payments for Home Purchases

Real-estate platform Opendoor just announced that it will start accepting Bitcoin payments for home transactions, converting BTC to USD internally so sellers receive fiat. This move further blurs the line between digital assets and property markets. As crypto payment rails integrate with traditional closings, they also pave the way for seamless settlement in future tokenized real-estate #RWA ecosystems.

Ondo Finance Finalizes Acquisition of Oasis Pro

Rounding out the week, Ondo Finance confirmed the completion of its acquisition of Oasis Pro, gaining broker-dealer, ATS, and transfer-agent licenses. This consolidation creates one of the most compliance-ready venues for regulated #RWA trading in the U.S. For tokenized real estate, the implications are clear—issuance, custody, and secondary liquidity are converging on platforms built to satisfy both regulators and institutions.

Why It Matters

Regulation is no longer a barrier—it’s becoming a catalyst. SEC registration, venture backing, crypto payment adoption, and licensed trading venues all signal the same trend: the next wave of real-estate tokenization will flow through regulated infrastructure. As financial heavyweights and blockchain-native firms align on compliance, tokenized real estate is preparing to move from innovation to integration.
